Gold Coast Team Attends Aviation Ball in Style

Our Gold Coast team were very excited to receive an invitation from Griffith University to attend their Annual Aviation Ball this year!

The prestigious event, held at Brisbane's Emporium Hotel on November 10th, brought together aviation industry leaders, enthusiasts, and students for a night of celebration and networking.

With approximately 200 attendees, the Aviation Ball provided Airways Aviation with the opportunity to engage with talented individuals and showcase our commitment to excellence in aviation. The event served as the perfect platform to make wider connections within the aviation and education sectors, fostering a strong sense of community and comradery.

One of the highlights of the evening was the honour to present an academic achievement award. The recipient of this award was Jake Hardwick, whose exceptional contributions were recognized in the context of the 3504NSC Aviation Project. The announcement and presentation were made by Australasia CEO, Janet Dalby, who graced the stage to congratulate Jake and present a special gift from Airways Aviation.

In reflecting on the evening, Janet Dalby expressed her enthusiasm, stating, “This prestigious event is a highlight of the aviation calendar. The Airways Aviation team thoroughly enjoyed the event and had a fabulous evening.”

It was evident that the Aviation Ball not only provided a platform for professional networking but also offered a delightful experience for the Gold Coast team who work tirelessly, year-round supporting the dreams of all of our aviation students.

Airways Aviation extends heartfelt gratitude to Griffith University for extending the invitation to participate in this grand event. Special thanks are due to Christine Boag-Hodgson and Jamie Cross for hosting a spectacular evening that facilitated meaningful connections with industry leaders and students alike.

Being a part of this year's Aviation Ball was a true honour for Airways Aviation Australia, providing an opportunity to celebrate Griffith University's remarkable 30-year history of aviation education. The long-standing partnership between Airways Aviation and Griffith University remains strong, and we eagerly anticipate sending more newly qualified commercial pilots to Griffith University to complete their Bachelor of Aviation.
