FlyIAA Touches Down in Abu Dhabi: First Aircraft Arrives as New Hangar Opens at Al Ain, Marking Start of 10-Aircraft UAE Fleet Rollout

Diamond DA40 is the first of ten aircraft arriving monthly, as FlyIAA UAE begins delivering on its commitment to build world-class flight training capacity in the Emirates

AL AIN, ABU DHABI, UAE — Intercontinental Aviation Academy - FlyIAA, the flight training division of Intercontinental Aviation Enterprise (IAE), unveiled the next chapter of its UAE growth story, taking handover of its new hangar at the private airstrip in Al Ain, Abu Dhabi, and welcoming the first aircraft into its UAE fleet: a Diamond DA40.

The aircraft's arrival marks the beginning of a fast-paced fleet buildout. Nine more Diamond DA40s are scheduled to arrive over the coming months, at a rate of approximately one aircraft per month, bringing FlyIAA's total UAE fleet to ten aircraft by early next year.

Months of Groundwork, One Defining Moment

Today's soft opening caps months of behind-the-scenes work — agreements finalized, infrastructure built, and a hangar readied to become the operational home of FlyIAA's UAE operations. It is the first of several major announcements FlyIAA plans to make in the coming months as it moves from quiet execution into public rollout.

"For months, much of our work has happened beyond the public eye," said Captain Wissam Al Mehyou, Global Chairman of FlyIAA and Founder and CEO of IAE. "Plans became agreements. Agreements became long days of implementation. Today, we reveal one of those plans. This is a clear expression of our commitment to the UAE aviation industry — we are investing in the facilities, aircraft and people needed to build real training capacity here, and we intend to give that ambition substance, step by step."

Building the UAE's Next Generation of Pilots

The Al Ain hangar and expanding fleet position FlyIAA to significantly scale flight training capacity in the UAE, supporting the country's growing demand for qualified pilots amid a booming regional aviation sector. As each new Diamond DA40 arrives, FlyIAA moves closer to full operational capacity in Al Ain — and closer to the moment its aircraft will fly under the UAE flag.
